Sprint going to releases the BlackBerry Bold 9930 and Torch 9850 for $ 250 and $ 150 with a two-year contract on August 21. The Overland Park, Kansas-based carrier said the new 4G devices use a 1.2 gigahertz processor and world phone capabilities. The Bold has a thinner frame and wider keyboard, while the torch is RIM's first touchscreen phone only.

Both phones also run BlackBerry OS 7, which the company claims can surf the Internet up to four times faster than current mobile 6 OS. But if 7 is faster OS, RIM promises his future QNX system existing platforms to blow out of the water.

Torch and the Bold seems to bridge the gap between the outgoing and incoming BlackBerry OS QNX bridge to fill, but this strategy could backfire and plunge into the phones do not. Customers will not likely queue up to pay $250 for the Bold, given RIM means to replace it with sleeker QNX handsets by 2012.
